The Duchy of Cornwall is a joint founder member of the Hereford Food Partnership, a group that works to ensure a greater percentage of high-quality Herefordshire food and drink produce goes on the sale to the local community. By supporting a buy-local approach, the Hereford Food Partnership not only looks to safeguard and create future job opportunities, but also to celebrate the region's excellent home-grown food and drink offering.

In 2011, the Hereford Food Partnership published a sustainable food and drink strategy for Herefordshire, called 'From Field to Table'. The idea was to bring about a fully-integrated, county wide approach to activity in this area with the support of local government, health service, business and community partners. By following the objectives set out in the strategy, the Duchy of Cornwall hopes it can support Hereford producers in creating a sustainable local economy for the benefit of all.
