Net Zero Carbon – Project Implementation Plan design services

Contractor, self-employed (subject to IR35 review)

14 hours per week, six month contract, to deliver project implementation plans

Day rate: Subject to experience and for negotiation

Duchy estate offices are located in the Isles of Scilly, Cornwall, Devon, Dorset, Hereford and Bath (where the person to whom you will report is based).
The Duchy of Cornwall has committed to a challenging, yet very exciting, ambition to achieve scope 3 net zero carbon across its diverse estate – an agricultural, commercial residential and development portfolio, including farmland, moorland, and the built environment (both new and existing).
To kick-start the design and delivery of the implementation phase of this innovative and sector-leading initiative, we are looking to engage a dynamic self-employed Project Manager to coordinate different internal work-stream managers. You will work with us to develop implementation plans, and help us organise ourselves to achieve our objectives.
Above all, you have experience designing implementation plans and establishing project management briefs. You probably have a number of clients for whom you are doing or have done such work. You have a knowledge of, and commitment to, sustainability issues.
You will be engaging in a project where the aims and objectives are set but the road map requires definition. Your meticulous planning and task driven programme management skills will help us achieve our vision. Your confidence and influence will inspire our long-established, impassioned, team. Previous experience in carbon challenges is not essential but stakeholder engagement and project management is.
If you can’t see how you take a 680-year old estate with 3,000 tenancy agreements and make it carbon neutral, but while brushing your teeth have nonetheless started to get excited about trying, then perhaps we should be talking. If you’ve no idea about the carbon issues of deep peat bogs, but began researching just because you’re intrigued, then get in touch!
Please submit a tender for services setting out your experience and why you think you can deliver what we need. Submit this to by 5th March 2021.
