About the community:
• Situated at the heart of Cornwall’s north coast, 'Nansledan' is Cornish for 'broad valley'.
• Construction started in 2014 and is expected to take over 30 years to complete in around 2045.
• Once complete, it will include 3,700 homes which integrates 30% affordable homes.
• Created with a mix of commercial and community uses, the town is designed around local needs, using local materials and trades, nurturing exciting independent businesses to help diversify and strengthen the Newquay economy.
• Nansledan is currently home to over 1,800 people in over 800 homes, and over 40 businesses so far.
Nansledan is already becoming a lifestyle destination. Alongside its homes, it includes a popular primary school, artisan shops and cafes, wellbeing studios, offices, community centre and a diverse range of green spaces from play areas and allotments to orchards, wildflower meadows, playing fields and woodlands.
Nansledan will enable people to live more healthy, sustainable lifestyles.

For the Cornish people
