About The Duchy
What is the Duchy of Cornwall?
The Duchy of Cornwall is on a mission to become a world-leading impact organisation, using its assets and convening power to deliver resilient, vibrant, and prosperous communities and ecosystems - now, and into the future. We create positive outcomes for people, nature, and communities, as well as returns that are reinvested with purpose.

Our mission
We’re on a mission to become a world-leading impact organisation.
This means creating lasting positive change and shaping a healthier, more resilient future.
We do this by enabling healthy communities supported by strong local economies, jobs and wider opportunities; improving access to affordable homes; working with our partners to restore nature at scale; and delivering a net zero future.
Our heartlands are where we can make the greatest difference. Cornwall, The Isles of Scilly, Dartmoor, Bath and West and Kennington are where our roots run deepest.
We are working alongside our communities to create lasting impact.

Meet the team
The Duchy employs more than 200 people, from conservation experts and foresters to community developers and archivists.
Our team work across eight offices in London, Bath, Dartmoor, Hereford, Poundbury, Nansledan, Restormel and The Isles of Scilly, as well as in the Duchy's own businesses – the Duchy Nursery and the Duchy Holiday Cottages.
The Duchy is run by the Prince's Council, which HRH Prince William chairs. The Council govern the Duchy's activities and work closely with committees to ensure that we are delivering the best impact and value for our communities and the planet.

Performance
We set ourselves ambitious targets to make sure that we are delivering positive change and meaningful impact for the members of our communities and the land we care for.
Each year we produce a publicly accessible integrated impact report, containing details of our activities, reflections, successes and impact.
HM Treasury also plays an important role in the oversight of the Duchy's finances, activities and approving substantial property transactions. Additionally, our annual accounts are laid before the House of Commons and the House of Lords, keeping the Duchy and HM Treasury accountable.
