Located in Princetown on Dartmoor, Gather & Moor is the Duchy’s venture, that offers a welcoming space for visitors and locals to relax, eat, drink, shop and learn.
Situated in the former Dartmoor National Park Visitor Centre, Gather & Moor serves as a community focused enterprise that supports local businesses and celebrates the unique landscape, heritage and nature of Dartmoor.
Inside, you’ll find a visitor information space in association with the Dartmoor National Park, a shop featuring local makers and products from across Devon and a café serving hot and cold food, that includes locally sourced ingredients from across Dartmoor and Devon.
Gather & Moor also provides workshop, events and exhibition spaces at no cost to the community, creating opportunities for people to connect, discover new skills and learn more about the area.
We are open seven days a week, 9am-4pm.

Discover our Nursery and gardens. A place of sanctuary for every visitor, where horticulture is celebrated, and all members of the community are welcome. Enjoy locally sourced food and drink or join any number of workshops and events. You’ll find retail spaces bursting with inspiration, with ever changing curated collections for the garden and home.
In its latest transition, HRH The Duke of Cornwall opened The Orangery restaurant and new retail areas in July 2023.
The Nursery employs over 70 members of staff from the local community and supports the local supply chain where possible. It is located at the heart of the Duchy estate, where Restormel Castle can be seen from across the valley.
